Prior to taking up an active role in politics and public service, Prakash had a stellar corporate career and held leadership positions in large reputed companies. In his career spanning 38 years, Prakash had outstanding achievements. He led Madura Garments in his role as the President. His last role in the corporate sector was as the Group Head at Aditya Birla Group. As a thought leader, Prakash has also published articles on Economic policies in Business Standard, Mint and other newspapers.
Contribution to social service has always been Prakash’s agenda, whether in his locality or institution. He has been the Trustee of The Teacher Foundation, a leading social enterprise of school teacher training and improvement for 20 years. Prakash volunteered during the COVID lockdown and helped hundreds of migrants return home safely. He also led the AAP Covid relief team for Bengaluru and Karnataka during the Covid Wave.
